Personally, until several years ago I have always been one of those people who have taken history for granted. Don’t get me wrong, over the years history has interested me at times I suppose, but now as an adult I would truly love to be able to talk to my grandparents about their childhood experiences growing up and much more.
My use of meta commentary in this instance was crucial in showing t.hat I was not completely uninterested about history during my childhood.
