Unit 3 ( Jennifer Church article)

I do not think that Jennifer Church adequately stated why her audience should care about her topic. Foremost I do not read where she is sighting specific indiviuals or groups of importance that would give credibility to her argument. In the first paragraph she mentions, "scientist estimate that we are losing approximately one hundred species per day." Scientists is generic and does not provide any substance as where sighting a specific scientist or group with scientific credibility would give her argument more weight. Also in the second paragraph she provides data without sighting who the data is from, this again does not help her argument. In the third paragraph she does give specific diseases afflictions that Biodiversity would help prevent or provide cures for in medicine.
