Paragraph 12. Staples quotes Podhoretz stating "one being his discomfort with that "special brand of paranoid touchiness" to which he says blacks are prone." Stapes immediately follows his quote of Podhoretz with a reflection a of his own saying "No doubt he is speaking here of black men. Staples introduces Podhoretz quote by laying a foundation of stating the title of the book and characterizes its author prior to quoting him.
I found the chapter on quoting very informative. With my limited expertise in the writing arena, I personally could not find any part of the chapter that I would change.
